New York Liberty Tickets & Information
The NY Liberty is considered to be one of the successful teams in WNBA history. The Liberty has continued to try out every game like it’s the final all this has become them far season after season. Every team begins their journey somewhere this may be the Manhattan Liberty’s story.
The freedom is among the eight teams which were originally picked to implement the WNBA. October 30, 1996 was the morning New York City was chosen to become amongst the locations this league would obtain their start. One of the first players to generally be chosen to compete on this team were Rebecca Lobo and Teresa Weatherspoon. The next year saw Carol Blazejowski, an associate the Basketball Hall of Fame, named the VP & GM for the Liberty. Head Coach Nancy Darsch led her team towards the inaugural season before a group of 14,284 from the Are generally Sparks, when the Liberty defeated them 67-57 at the Forum.
Every team says they may have the top fans, and to that team they. The freedom fans have proven their loyalty and support with regards to team and that's evident inside the attendance levels, game after game, and season after season. With the first ever Liberty game, over 14,200 fans showed up to cheer to their team. For your first season, there seemed to be a common attendance of 13,270 fans and supporters. Time and time again, the team was all-around obtaining a championship, but is actually thwarted by opposing teams. This year will hopefully be the year that this Championship travels to NYC.
